Safeworks Illinois
SafeWorks Illinois is an occupational health provider in Champaign, IL. By developing prevention programs and providing injury treatment and rehabilitation services to help employees recover, rehabilitate, and return to work, SafeWorks is able to help businesses reduce injuries, lower costs, and promote a safe work environment for employees. Dr. David Fletcher, SafeWorks Illinois’ Medical Director, is board-certified in occupational and preventive medicine as well as public health and has been overseeing Rantoul Foods’ onsite medical program since 2012. This aggressive occupational health program closely monitors employee health and has resulted in lower OSHA-reported injuries despite an increase in hours worked by employees over the same period of time. SafeWorks Illinois has been an integral part of the Rantoul Foods response to COVID-19 from the beginning. From strategically implementing a symptom monitoring protocol in February to facilitating the onsite testing of employees in May, and coordinating with other agencies to set up additional research to provide insight into how best to prevent future transmission of COVID-19, SafeWorks Illinois has provided medical expertise and manpower to help ensure the health of Rantoul Foods’ employees.

Pork for our People
We donated a boneless loin to each of our employees to show our appreciation for them during this time. The joy that such a small gesture brought to both our employees’ faces and our managements’ faces made everything in the world feel okay for a minute. Thank you for stepping up to the plate and showing the world what an honor it is to be an Essential Employee, right now. We are so proud of each of you.
